Do I still need a microchip if I use a QR tag?

We recommend both. A QR tag works instantly for anyone with a phone, while a microchip is scanned at a vet clinic or shelter if the collar comes off.

How do I register my pet?

After checkout you create your pet profile and enter your microchip number and contact details. Registration becomes active as soon as that information is submitted.

No. HomeSafePet is a one-time purchase - $19.99 for a QR tag and $29.99 for lifetime microchip registration. There are no subscriptions or renewal fees.

Tags are typically produced within 2 business days, then travel according to the shipping speed you select at checkout — Standard (3–7 business days) or Expedited (2–3 business days). We ship within the United States only.

They scan the tag and reach your pet's public profile with the contact options you enabled, so they can contact you directly. HomeSafePet does not send an alert simply because a tag was scanned.
